KARACHI: Founder and CEO of top social media network ‘Facebook’, Mark Zuckerberg ordered his subordinates to revert the decision of removing post of Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi , in which he had pointed out west’s discriminatory approach towards Muslims under “freedom of expression,” ARY News reported.

Hamza Ali Abbasi posted a status on his Facebook timeline regarding Charlie Hebdo massacre, but his message was removed for violating the social networking website’s ‘community standards’.

The issue highlighted by one of the commenter on Mark Zuckerberg message on his timeline, praising the unity march that took place in France following the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris last week.

The commenter inquired reason for removing Hamza Ali Abbasi status. Zuckerberg personally responded to the comment, tagging Facebook VP Justin Osofsky in his response, saying he thought it might have been a mistake while asking him to look into it.

Sources quoted Osofksy as saying, “As Mark mentioned, we made a mistake in taking this down. We try to do our best, but sometimes make mistakes. We apologize for this error, and hope that the author will re-post it as we are not able to restore it from our end. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.”

Talking to ARY News, Hamza Ali Abbasi said that he tried to unveil the facts through his post which western media wasn’t conveying to the masses.
