Debuting in Bilal Lashari’s War on Terror based film, Waar, director andactor Hamza Ali Abbasi has managed to establish a reputation of being one ofthe most unique icons in the Pakistani film industry. He recently got done with‘Mud house and the Golden Doll’ and has announced his intentions of coming upwith a comedy film titled ‘Kambakht’.
“With time, you tend to know what you’re good at, and I realized my forte
is comedy films,” states Hamza regarding his upcoming comedy film. “That’s what
I feel comfortable doing. I wouldn’t mind something intense and dramatic but
what film-makers need to do is make it entertaining. It should be for the
masses.”
Written by Abbasi himself and starring Shafqat Cheema (Bol’s lovable bad
guy, Saqa Kanjar) and Ahsan Khan, the ambitious film-maker aims to use the
talents in the right way and highlight their connection with the characters and
the audience.
